How We Check Listings
Every price on Barnmap comes from the business itself, with its source and the date we checked it.
Where our information comes from
We start from public lists of horse establishments in each state, then read each business’s own website: its boarding or rates page, its services and its contact page. We only record what the business itself publishes: types of board and their monthly prices, what is included, facilities, services, emergency hours, service area and credentials.
What we record
Each price is stored with a link to the page it comes from, and the price must appear word for word on that page. Every listing shows its sources. When a page does not state something, such as a price or a service area, we leave it out rather than guess, and the listing says “Price on request”.
Two labels
- Checked on the business website: we read the details on the business’s own site.
- Confirmed by the business (green check next to the name): the owner or manager manages the listing. We check each claim by hand before the business can edit its listing.
Health and safety
Barnmap helps you find a vet; it does not give medical advice. In an emergency, call your vet or the nearest equine hospital directly.
What we never do
- We do not publish reviews or ratings taken from other websites, and we never copy a business’s photos without its permission.
- We do not change prices or details for money. If a business pays to be featured, its listing is labeled “Featured”.
- We do not add fees: you deal with the business directly, at its own price.
